The route from Pokhara to upper Mustang is full of adventure and extreme off-roading in the Himalayas.
Day 1
On arrival at Pokhara airport, our hotel representative will welcome you and
arrange transfer to the hotel. Hotel check-in and free time to freshen up. Briefing regarding the trip followed by welcome dinner.
Day 2
The motorcycle ride from Pokhara toMarpha is one of the most thrilling and scenic journeys through the ruggedlandscapes of Nepal. The route offers aperfect blend of natural beauty,challenging terrains, and culturalexperiences, making it a must-do forany adventurous motorcyclist. Marpha’stranquil atmosphere, with itswhitewashed houses, narrow alleys, andfluttering prayer flags, offers a peacefulretreat after the demanding ride. Thetowering peaks of the Annapurna andNilgiri ranges provide a stunningbackdrop, making Marpha a beautifulplace to relax and soak in theHimalayan serenity.
Day 3
The motorcycle ride from Marpha to Muktinath is a thrilling and spiritually
enriching journey through the heart of Nepal’s Mustang region, offering riders a
mix of rugged terrain, high-altitude adventure, and deep cultural significance. This route takes you from the apple orchards of Marpha to the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas and unique encounters withlocal traditions.
Day 4
The Muktinath to Chele motorcycle ride offers an extraordinary experience, blending thrilling off-road adventure with breathtaking landscapes. This segment of the journey is part of the famous Mustang region of Nepal, often referred to as the "Forbidden Kingdom," and provides riders with an opportunity to explore one of the most remote and culturally rich regions in the Himalayas. Chele is a small, peaceful village perched on a high plateau at around 3,050 meters. It serves as the starting point for the more remote areas of Upper Mustang. The village offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and the Tibetan influence in architecture and culture becomes even more evident here. Riders can rest and prepare for the next leg of the journey deeper into the Forbidden Kingdom.
Day 5
The Chele to Lo Manthang motorcycle ride is an exhilarating and awe-inspiring journey through the heart of the Upper Mustang region, often referred to as the "Forbidden Kingdom." This section of the ride takes adventurers through stark landscapes, ancient villages, and rugged mountain passes, leading to the walled city of Lo Manthang, the capital of the former Kingdom of Mustang. Shortly after leaving Chele, the road climbs steeply over the Taklam La and Dajori La mountain passes, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna and Nilgiri ranges. These passes are some of the first major challenges on this route, with narrow, winding trails and steep drops. The high altitude and rugged terrain make for a thrilling, heart-pounding ride.
Day 6
After breakfast we will set to explore the ancient kingdom of Mustang. we will visit City Walls, Caves of Lo Manthang and other important place. rest of the day we will relax at the hotel.
Day 7
The ride from Lo Manthang to Kagbeni is one of the most scenic and exhilarating journeys in the Mustang region of Nepal. It covers approximately 90 kilometers and takes around 6 to 7 hours, depending on weather conditions and road surfaces. This ride takes you through the heart of the Upper Mustang region, blending adventure with cultural richness and spectacular landscapes.
As you ride further south, you’ll reach the village of Kagbeni, situated at the confluence of the Kali Gandaki and Jhong Khola rivers. Kagbeni is often referred to as the "gateway" to Upper Mustang, and it marks the boundary between the restricted area of Upper Mustang and the more accessible Lower Mustang. The village is characterized by its medieval architecture, with narrow cobbled streets, ancient mud-brick houses, and Buddhist chortens scattered throughout.
Day 8
The ride from Kagbeni to Tatopani is an incredible journey that showcases some of Nepal’s most diverse and stunning landscapes. The route, approximately 60 to 70 kilometers, passes through the Mustang and lower Annapurna regions, transitioning from the dry, high-altitude desert of Upper Mustang to lush forests, waterfalls, and hot springs near Tatopani. This stretch is a 4 to 6-hour ride, depending on road conditions and stops, with a mix of rugged terrain, dirt trails, and better-maintained sections of road. Tatopani is famous for its natural hot springs, which are a welcome treat for weary travelers. After a long ride, soaking in the hot springs is the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate. The village of Tatopani is small but offers several lodges and guesthouses where you can stay overnight.
Day 9
The Tatopani to Pokhara motorcycle ride is a mesmerizing journey through some of Nepal's most scenic landscapes, combining adventure, natural beauty, and cultural exploration. Covering approximately 110 kilometers, this ride typically takes around 5 to 6 hours, depending on road conditions, stops, and your pace. The route offers a mix of challenging off-road sections, paved roads, and serene countryside scenery as you descend from the Himalayan foothills into the lush, subtropical valley of Pokhara.
Day 10
After breakfast we will drop you to the Pokhara airport towards your onward journey. End of the tour.
